In the height of the COVID 19 pandemic, Christopher Bollas began working to understand the political divisions and disturbed psychological processes at work in our society. The result is a rich, thought-provoking paper: “Civilization and the Discontented.” Please join us on Saturday, September 18th as we watch a pre-recorded reading and Q and A by Bollas of his paper. We will use his ideas, along with case material, to help us think about how the political landscape and the COVID 19 pandemic have affected our patients' lives and our clinical work. This in-depth study using case material will help us explore the implications of working in a polarized time.
